When is the UCR registration deadline?
UCR registration for a year must be completed by December 31 of the year before. For 2027, that means by December 31, 2026. Registration usually opens around October 1.
Who needs UCR
Interstate motor carriers, brokers, freight forwarders and leasing companies generally must register with the Unified Carrier Registration program every year. Fees depend on fleet size.
How to file safely
Register on the official site, ucr.gov. Some websites look official but add their own fees on top of the UCR fee.
Keep your confirmation. Enforcement of the new year's registration generally starts January 1.
